Wellbeing Fund

HWCT is currently accepting applications for programmes, projects, or organisational work that improve mental and/or physical health outcomes for people living within our Area of Benefit. This may include direct service delivery, preventative activities, community-based programmes, or organisational development where there is a clear link to improving wellbeing outcomes.

Before you apply

Organisations interested in applying to the Wellbeing Fund must first complete a short Expression of Interest form.

The Expression of Interest helps us understand the work you are seeking funding for, the local need it responds to, who would benefit, and the likely scale of the proposed funding. We particularly want to understand how the proposed work responds to an identified need among people living within HWCT's Area of Benefit and your organisation's connection to those communities.

We will review your Expression of Interest and let you know whether we would encourage you to make a full application. We may contact you for further information or arrange a discussion before making this decision.

Before submitting an Expression of Interest, organisations should also read HWCT's Strategic Plan 2025–2030 to ensure that the proposed work aligns with the Trust's mission, priorities and values.

What we look for
We are particularly interested in work that:

  • responds to an identified need among people living within HWCT's Area of Benefit;
  • has a clear connection to improving mental and/or physical health and wellbeing;
  • is rooted in, or has strong connections with, the communities it intends to support;
  • can demonstrate the difference the funding is expected to make.

If we encourage you to proceed, we will provide you with the current full application form and confirm the relevant application deadline. Full applications are reviewed through a structured assessment process, with funding decisions made by the Trustee Board at scheduled meetings.
