Recent grants awarded by our Grants Committee include:

£3,000 to Gingerbread for a Peer Support Project providing support and giving a voice to single parents in our area.

£5,000 to Centre404 who are offering families and children with learning disabilities and/or autism, support around income maximisation.

£3,250 to Christians Against Poverty for focussed debt advice work in Kilburn.

£3,000 to AgeUK Camden for focussed debt advice work in our area of benefit.

In the last couple of months, we have provided over 50 individual grants to local people and families for household items, clothing, school uniform, travel costs, food and much more. Demand for these grants remains high and they are considered on a two weekly basis.

HWCT has also supported five local hostels with funds to provide basic household items to people entering or leaving their accommodation. These Starter Pack Grants are a pilot project and feedback from the organisations involved will help determine how best our support can be given in future.
