News April 2021

Our second Emergency Fund is now closed. This fund provided support to the following organisations:

  • Queens Crescent Community Association
  • Abbey Community Centre
  • Home Start Camden and Islington
  • Camden Carers Centre
  • Sidings Community Centre
  • Citizens Advice Camden
  • Solace Womens Aid
  • JW3
  • Reverse the Trend Foundation

The fund enabled these organisations to provide emergency support including shopping vouchers, essential items, laptopschildren’s items, food distribution equipment and online support to a wide range of individuals and families in our area of benefit.

From our other grants’ budgets, we were able to offer a small organisational grant of £2,000 to William Ellis School Parents Association to assist with digital inclusion for disadvantaged pupils in our area and £800 to KIDS in order for them to run some online activities for children and families.

We were also able to support two organisations in building on their debt advice work which the Trust feels is a priority at the current time. We allocated £6,500 to Christians Against Poverty and £6,000 to Age UK Camden in order for them to focus on debt advice in the Kilburn area.

In addition, we have provided over 70 grants to individuals and families to purchase furnishings, white goods, clothing, food and much more. Demand for our individual grants is at an all time high in 2021.
